Top 10 gaming Laptop Brands with Discount 2021

Top Gaming Laptop Brands

You only have to look at the Top 10 Gaming Laptop Brands to understand that not all are created equal. Nvidia dominates the top 10 list for the first time, with an almost 60% share of the total, as some of the most trusted brands have struggled.

The latter has been the case over the past year, with almost all established names losing market share. The Acer Predator Triton 700’s recent, but ultimately disappointing, performance in our testing gave new buyers pause for thought. The Asus ZenBook UX430UQ and MSI GT72SX also fell short, even when considering that their price tags were low enough to appear more competitive.

It’s good to see that the sub-£1000 segment has improved, with brands such as Acer, Clevo, and MSI still dominating in this price bracket. Meanwhile, the top-spec models now feature some superb features that we’re rarely used to finding at this price point.

1. MSI GT72S | Top 10 Gaming Laptop Brands

One of the best gaming laptops we’ve ever seen

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-7700HQ – i7-7820HK |
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 (8GB GDDR5X VRAM with SLI) |
  • RAM: 16GB |
  • Screen: 17.3-inch, Full HD |
  • Storage: 512GB M.2 SSD

Beautiful styling, Unprecedented performance, Pricey

In a sea of laptops with 8th-generation processors, it’s easy to overlook the 16-core, 24-thread 8th-generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ. The MSI GT72SX was the only notebook we’ve seen to boast a system with this much power, and it absolutely cruised through our benchmark tests.

And when we say ‘crashed’ we mean the tests. It lapped the 3DMark and video editing suite played GTA V and had absolutely no issues completing our in-depth gaming benchmarks.

You won’t find an SSD this fast for this price, let alone a Full HD screen. It’s also got a Full HD screen, but you won’t find a 4K screen here either. But if you can get past that, the MSI GT72SX is a truly phenomenal laptop.

2. MSI GS75 Stealth | Under Top Gaming Laptop Brands

  • Storage: 512GB SSD

Gorgeous, clear display, Awesome build quality, and design, Expensive, Steeper starting price

It’s clear that MSI’s engineers pay careful attention to every detail, both in terms of the design of the GS75 and in the results its benchmark scores are delivering. The graphics card alone will win the GS75 a place on our list of the best gaming laptops, though if you’re after an equally-impressive chassis, then you may want to look elsewhere.

3. Dell G3 15

Under Top Gaming Laptop Brands| A powerful gaming laptop that’s incredibly affordable

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 – i7 |
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 – 1050 Ti (4GB GDDR5) |
  • RAM: 8GB – 16GB |
  • Screen: 15.6-inch, FHD (1,920 x 1,080) – UHD (3,840 x 2,160) anti-glare, wide-view 120Hz panel |
  • Storage: 1TB HDD

Amazingly affordable, Pleasing performance, Can’t upgrade the RAM

Compared to the 17-inch version of the G3 15, the Dell G3 15 Notebook comes with a smaller display and an Intel Core i5-8400 processor. It’s almost half the price of Dell’s flagship gaming laptop, making it extremely tempting if you’re after a budget gaming machine.

If you don’t need a giant 4K display, there’s a 1080p version, too. At the lower-end of Dell’s range, there’s the slightly more affordable G3 15 SFF, which comes with an Intel Core i3-8130U processor and 128GB SSD for $799 (about £600, AU$1,100).

4. Alienware 13

Gaming without the extra cost

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 – i7 |
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB GDDR5) |
  • RAM: 8GB – 16GB |
  • Screen: 13.3-inch, FHD (1,920 x 1,080) – UHD (3,840 x 2,160) IPS anti-glare display with G-Sync |
  • Storage: 256GB – 1TB PCIe SSD

Compact, solid-state storage, Extras like RGB backlit keyboard and touchpad

The bezel on the Alienware 13 is a thin layer of plastic with what feels like metal underneath. On one hand, this makes it lightweight, but on the other, it’s too big for a laptop that really only needs a 1080p display. If you have room for a bigger screen, and you don’t mind adding a bit more weight to your laptop, then it’s well worth the extra cash.

Affordable, Powerful speakers, Loud fans

HP’s Omen 15 is a solid laptop choice for gamers looking to upgrade or get a new rig without breaking the bank. The gaming rig itself is fine, but it really stands out on paper thanks to its Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card.

HP hasn’t missed a trick by including dedicated graphics in a portable that doesn’t weigh a tonne. The 13.3-inch full-HD display, which boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and 1-millisecond response time, is a high-end choice in its own right.
